Welcome to your first stop on the Organize Me Pretty house tour series!
I’m so excited to kick-off off the Organize Me Pretty house tour series with a few favorite organized spaces and solutions right here in the Carmona household! I hope you enjoy…
My Living Room Storage Projects
Another name for my living room should be “the all purpose room” because we really do live, play and work in here…which kind of means the storage in here has to be a beast!
Creating beautiful boxes, baskets, and other storage types is only half the battle… coming up with a system to maintain our precious items was the other half of the battle! You can read more about my Puzzle Storage system, Library Book basket, Disc Storage here, Paper & Fabric storage, and my Painted Jar storage.
My Organized Kitchen Spaces
My favorite part of the kitchen is what is behind the closed cabinet doors. Opening up those doors reveals an endless variety of amazing dinner options!
I store all my dry goods in containers, including a large variety of beans, rice, grains, and baking goods. You can read all about my bakers cabinet here.
I also keep all my spices organized where I can reach up and shake a “dash of this” while cooking stove top. Then nearby are a variety of herbs…some for cooking, others for wellness.
My Upstairs Hall Storage Space
It’s just one bookcase, and yet it makes all the storage difference in the world! I house everything I need to accommodate guests in my upstairs hall. From the sheets I use in their rooms, to slippers and toilettries to make their stay perfection.
An Organized Bathroom Space
I realize that it is often the less “romantic” spaces (like the bathrooms) that need the most organization, but it keeps my life simple and sweet… and frankly, that’s all the romance I need out of decor! 😀 Is it odd that the bathroom has some of my favorite organizing features?
I love this open recessed storage above, and the painted bathroom vanity that houses the messy items I prefer stocked in plastic storage containers. You wouldn’t believe what this vanity and that recessed space looked like before…
This bathroom space has so many pretty projects that make the perfect organizing tools. My tip to you: a little paint or stain can really bring some glam to your organizing projects! See how to stain a basket here.
From storage baskets to bowls, think outside the plastic box when storing items… A little gold paint can go a long way to bring a little glam to storage bowls!
Now, suffer no delusions, I don’t have the cleanest house (blegh, hate cleaning…plus I have 3 kids and a husband so you know, that doesn’t equal tidy), but I do love organizing, and having these spaces function like a charm for my family makes up for the days I get frustrated with my lack of a perfectly tidy house. Well what can I say, it’s the little things! 😉 I hope you enjoyed my little tour!
Thank you for so much for stopping by!
Next up in the Organize Me Pretty house tours is Courtney from A Thoughtful Place. She is an amazing blogger with creative projects and STUNNING photos! I’m always inspired when I stop by her blog. Be sure to pop over there to see her organized spaces.
Now go be inspired by the next 11 AMAZING bloggers and their organized house tours… because nothing is more beautiful than organization married to decoration!

If you ever find yourself struggling to get your house tidy and organized, you might have an inner hoarder. Find out if that is you, and how to fix it here.
I did not know houses actually look this organized. I need to get it together. I felt good about myself because I have a basket for my hair ties in a drawer. This is amazing what you have done!
Oh hahaha! Trust me, I’ve been there, and these are only the spaces I’ve finally gotten under control! 😉 One of these days I’ll feature my kids bedrooms and my scary scary scary garage. *shiver* It’s so scary.
So much organization! I love it!
Love your stuff. Organization makes me tingle. One question though… I can’t find any info on the do it yourself wire basket. What materials did you use to make it?
Thank you! Haha, I’m definitely an organization fan too! 😉
The wire baskets are created out of hardware cloth. You can find the entire wire basket tutorial here: https://homemadebycarmona.com/diy-wire-baskets/
I love organized spaces and yours are amazing! Thanks for the tips and inspiration.
Leslie
Thank you Leslie! I’m a nut for organized spaces too. LOL!
Love the post! Great inspiration! Where did you get your kitchen canisters?
Thank you! The plastic containers that store beans & grains are from Walmart, and the spice canisters are from a Dollar Store. 🙂 Thanks for reading!
wow! amazing i really love how you organize these stuffs!
Thanks so much for including me in the series Ursula! You’re home is just stunning. I love the gray, white/creams, and gold combo mixed with other natural textures. The wire basket on your bookcase is awesome, the kitchen belongs in Martha’s house, and your guest bookcase is genius and gorgeous. Oh, and I need a puzzle box.. I can’t wait to move to Japan just to paint our walls whatever color I want (or can find)! Hopefully I can I find a beautiful taupe or gray. 😉
Thank you Kathy! I love the idea of taupe or grey! 🙂

Ursula, I love this post! I’m an organizational freak too, so this is right up my alley. I especially love your upstairs hall bookcase. Very soothing tones and lined up and matching items always make me feel relaxed… 🙂 I found you from the Stumble group and I’m glad I did. But I tried to stumble your post and I don’t see a stumble button on it anywhere. I don’t have the Chrome toolbar because I’m on a Mac. Will pin instead.
Thanks Lory! Hmmm…I’ll have to find a SU button to add. Thanks so much for visiting!
Oh my gosh, you are organized! I’m totally embarrassed about my posts now. I want your cabinet organization, it’s so amazing. Thank you for inviting me to this series. I can’t wait to see the rest.
