Custom built-ins for the office or craft room is always a good solution for storage and style!
Recently I’ve advised a few people pertaining to their office spaces, and again I find myself drawn to the idea of office built-ins as the perfect space-saving storage solution.
Today I thought I would share some of my favorite inspirational office spaces, and the built-ins that make them what they are!
Desks Built Into Shelf/Storage Wall
I love that this desk curves around the corner for maximum desk in a small space. The storage built-ins are smartly incorporated above the desk on either end.
This office boasts storage above and below, but still carves out a moment for the desktop right there in the built-in unit.
Bumping out the desk is a great way to ensure your desk has the depth you need, but aren’t taking up more space than needed with the built-in storage shelves.

Feature Wall Built-ins
I’m a huge fan making a wall the show-stopping feature in a space! Built-ins can be both practical, and stunning. This space made the storage the pop of rich color in the space, and went from there.
These beautiful black built-ins have both closed and open shelf storage. Perfect for hiding away less “show worthy” items, which means totally practical storage.
Small Offices With Built-ins
I have to start with my own tiny office nook. This closet was 53″x64″, which is a pretty decent size for a closet, but didn’t make the best space for linens, and it was located in my living room. What a clever way to add a built-in desk and storage nook! Add a couple closets on either side, and this would be the perfect bedroom office.

When you need more storage than a single wall can handle, curve your built-ins on a corner and claim two walls as amazing and beautiful storage space!
I just LOVE this office space! It’s sophisticated, and a great use of a small office. The storage turns the corner, goes to the top of the tall ceilings, and even with the desk pushed up against the window, it doesn’t feel tight.
Another small space with smart storage! It might be small, but using both walls as hidden storage was a clever use of space.
Loads of drawer space is a feature in this office, and the fact that it wraps around the corner to maximize storage is amazing! In this case they went with uppers and lowers separately, but it just goes to show that built-ins don’t have to come in the form of floor to ceiling shelves, you can orient it however it works best for you.
