I was SO happy to finally give ugly my master bedroom a makeover, but next came the important part, the organizing! I made myself a DIY Letter Holder to organize my mail, and bought some beautiful pieces to store my knick knacks, and now I want to share my simple art calendar with you!

When you can turn something beautiful into something functional, it reaches a whole new level of awesome in my book.
This modern number art serves double duty as a monthly calendar for my bedside work space. I confess, my first favorite work space is cozy in bed…I know, I have a great job. It helps to have something I can quickly glance at with important reminders. Sure, I have my scheduler which has to be taken out and looked at, but I often forget seemingly trivial tasks like “renew the library books”, and this helps keep me on task.

This project is quick and easy to make. You can use Word to create a simple calendar from your favorite font, or learn how you can download one of these free printable calendars at the bottom of this post. As it contains no day-of-the-week, you never have to change it out, a simple 1 – 31 model works just fine.
Learn how you can download one of these free printable calendars at the bottom of this post.
Have your local office supply store print it out onto a plain 11 x 14″ paper (typically a dollar and change, or less). Select a matte and frame of choice.
My matte didn’t fit the frame since I bought them separately, so I went ahead and marked the size using the glass as a template, cut it to size, then readied it for display.
The beauty of a glass framed calendar is that you can use dry erase markers to jot notes on it. Or you can use my preferred method, sticky notes!

Loving the minimal black and gold colour scheme! I will have to try my own DIY calender soon! The wooden envelope holder is pretty cool too, it makes me think of toast, hehe! ..Can’t wait to explore your site further!
