I have a weakness for wrapping paper. It’s like their pretty designs and textures just call out to me “Ursula, hey, look how cute I am…you totally want to take me home, I’m only $2!!”, and I can never resist. I can’t seem to walk into a Home Goods or a Target without walking out with a small roll of paper.
Ironically gift giving is not my love language, so what in the world do I want so much wrapping paper for? Uh hullo, have you met me, incurable DIY’er? Trust me, I’ll find a beautiful purpose for these cute little guys. In the meantime, I have the perfect chic wrapping paper storage for these babies! I store my longer rolls of wrapping paper, along with a few large rolls of banner paper and fabric in a couple large baskets near where I work. Having no real work space, this has to blend into my living room space.
The smaller rolls I store in a glass hurricane vase that I added interest to with a little gold spray paint around the outside rim.
Don’t hide away beautiful supplies, work them into the decor of the space and you’ll find you have a room that is as functional as it is beautiful!
The office/work space in my home has gotten many small upgrades that add up to big style by making everything “gold dipped”. I used my favorite Krylon gold metallic spray paint, which has almost a copper hue to it. I always finish with a clear protective coat of spray paint.
What about you? How do you store your craft or wrapping paper? Are you a wrapping paper junkie or just a normal everyday special occasion user? One of these days I’ll do a round-up on all the amazing things you can use wrapping paper for! Then you’ll all become wrapping paper junkies and I won’t be so weird. 😀
